This online adult/adolescent Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) didactic training program is geared toward the Registered Nurse or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse planning on practicing in the role of SANE. This course meets the 2018 IAFN SANE Education Guidelines and includes the 2021 CDC Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) Treatment Guidelines. The course provides 41 contact hours in nursing upon completion. ACEP designates this activity for a maximum of 41.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

2. License in good standing is required

3. High speed internet connectivity and speakers or a head set is necessary to obtain content;

4. No refunds will be given for failure to complete.

Learning Objective-CME

Registered nurses, advanced practice registered nurses, physician assistants, and physicians will demonstrate the ability to apply acquired knowledge and skills in conducting comprehensive sexual assault examinations for patients who have experienced sexual violence.
