IAFN’s Pediatric Strangulation Case Review and Assessment Program, created in partnership with Evidentia Learning, is a collection of living pediatric strangulation patients evaluated and treated in the medical setting, presented in conjunction with evidence-based knowledge on pediatric strangulation evaluation and treatment. Through analysis of definitions and terminology, anatomy and physiology, manner, associated signs and symptoms, case review and post-testing of content, the clinician is able to assess their knowledge and skill acquisition. In addition, the program provides a multitude of resources, tools and policies to ensure the clinician is prepared to provide the standard of care for the pediatric strangulation patient when necessary.

The authors, presenters, and planning committee for this educational activity have no relevant financial relationships with ineligible companies to disclose.

Upon attending the course in its entirety (due to the criticality of the content) and completing the course evaluation, you will receive a certificate that documents the continuing nursing education contact hours for this activity.

The International Association of Forensic Nurses is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
