The International Association of Forensic Nurses offers educational opportunities for professionals caring for victims of violence.  Some courses contain medical photographs of injuries, genital regions, and other potentially triggering topics and images. This online adult/adolescent Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) didactic training program is geared toward the Registered Nurse or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse planning on practicing in the role of SANE. This course meets the 2018 IAFN SANE Education Guidelines and includes the 2021 CDC Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) Treatment Guidelines. The course provides 41 contact hours in nursing upon completion.
Please note the following:

1. The course must be completed in 12 weeks or less to receive credit;

2. License in good standing is required

3. High speed internet connectivity and speakers or a head set is necessary to obtain content;

4. No refunds will be given for failure to complete.
