Course Description
The International Association of Forensic Nurses offers educational opportunities for professionals caring for victims of violence.  Some courses contain medical photographs of injuries, genital regions, and other potentially triggering topics and images. If you need assistance in processing trauma, help is available.


This activity is intended for healthcare professionals engaged in the care of patients who have experienced sexual assault.

Educational Objectives
After completing this activity,
Healthcare providers will report an increase in knowledge of the minimum standards of care to address the health and evidentiary needs of patients who have been sexually abused and/or sexually assaulted.

Clinicians will report an increase in competence/confidence of how to perform an exam of patients that have been sexually assaulted
