The International Association of Forensic Nurses offers educational opportunities for professionals caring for victims of violence.  Some courses contain medical photographs of injuries, genital regions, and other potentially triggering topics and images. If you need assistance in processing trauma, help is available. 

This training will explain the roles of the clinician and advocate during a sexual assault medical forensic exam and how the advocate provides benefits to both patient and clinician, specifically during the teleSAFE exam. Presenters will discuss the different types of advocacy programs and the confidentiality associated with each type. They will also share their own experiences and the positive impact experienced by both patient and clinicians.
